A few years ago, I found myself in a place that left me completely drained. I was surrounded by people who didn’t have my best interests at heart, and my peace—mentally, emotionally, spiritually—was constantly under threat.

When I finally walked away from that toxic energy, I realized something life-changing:

Not a relationship, not a job, not anyone’s opinion.

That’s when I started wearing a small turquoise bead I’ve had since childhood — an ancient symbol of protection in Middle Eastern culture, believed to shield against negativity, envy, and harm. At first, it was just something I loved. But over time, it became a daily reminder:
